Arsene Wenger is preparing to make Serge Aurier as his first summer signing with the intentions of replacing Bacary Sagna, who is on his way out of Arsenal, Daily Star reports.

Sagna has been having a conflict of interest with the club after failed contract negotiations as the French right-back wants an increased salary, one which the Gunners are unable to accommodate.

Manchester City are said to be prepared to acquire the services of the player where he will be joined by former team-mates Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri.

However, Wenger will be willing to let him go as he now has eyes of £7-million rated Aurier, who is regarded as ‘the Dani Alves of Ligue 1’.

The 21-year–old Ivorian defender recently spoke about being linked with the North London side by saying: “You can’t refuse an offer from Arsenal.

“It would be a dream.”

He has made a total of 34 appearances for Toulouse this past season, scoring six goals and providing another six assists.
