Arsenal are said to be keeping close tabs on David Ospina as a possible replacement for Lukasz Fabianski and also provide some competition for number one Wojciech Szczesny, Daily Mail reports.
With the departure of Fabianski on a free transfer to Swansea, Arsene Wenger now turns to the OGC Nice shot-stopper to provide support as well as put some pressure on his current keeper.
Ospina will most probably be made the Gunners’ number two should the club make an offer for the 40 timed capped Columbian international, who is set to appear in the upcoming World Cup.
The 25-year-old will surely be able to showcase his talents between the sticks in Brazil as he will be facing Greece, Ivory Coast, and Japan in Group C.
He has been part of the Nice set up for six years, but could be allowed to leave the Ligue-1 side for a fee of around £3million and even though he recently signed a new contract, could still be on his way to England.
