Arsenal will be without three World Cup winners at the start of the English Premier League as Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker, and Lukas Podolski are all on an extended break, Metro reports.
The German trio will return to the club on August 11, a day after their side play Manchester City in the Community Shield and would probably not be fit enough to face Crystal Palace on the opening day less than a week later.
They could be given extra training time in order to get them back to match fitness and should all be included in the line up for the following weekend.
Arsene Wenger will not risk playing them too early after returning from their holidays in order avoid any unnecessary injuries, something that has always been a problem with his players.
With some additions to his squad, Wenger looks as though he will have their positions covered with the main focal point being on new signing Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona.
