Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to announce that three of his key first team players have signed new contracts with the club, according to the Daily Mail.

Santi Cazorla and Per Mertesacker are set to agree deals until 2017 and Tomas Rosicky will sign up for one more season.

Cazorla and Mertesacker have both been key men for Wenger this season and they join ‘keeper Wojciech Szczesny in signing long term deals at the Emirates, with six first team men doing the same this time last year.

Right back Bacary Sagna is still a concern for Wenger though with his contract running down this summer and negotiations over a new one have stalled since before Christmas.

The Gunners may not have been overly busy in the January transfer market but Wenger is focussed on keeping his current squad together before spending big money again to improve it.

Cazorla, Mertesacker and Rosicky are set to have their deals announced over the weekend with the Gunners hoping to go back to the top of the table.
