The Emirates is set up for a proper humdinger tonight as Arsenal host the holders of the Champions League: Bayern Munich.
You’d be forgiven for thinking Pep Guardiola’s side will take this tie at a canter given this rather imperious list of stats:
Bayern Munich have reached the final of the Champions League in three of the last four campaigns.
The Bavarians have also won their last seven Champions League games played outside the Allianz Arena.
Bayern Munich have had the most shots on target in the Champions League this season: 54 (that’s 35 more than Arsenal with 19).
HOWEVER (dum, dum, dummmm)….
Arsenal are the last team to keep a clean sheet against Bayern, back when they beat them at the Allianz last season.
And they now also have the best German player out there in their ranks… Mesut Ozil.
Here’s how they’re going to start tonight….
