Joel Campbell’s representatives reveal that the Costa Rican star could leave Arsenal if he isn’t given a first team role upon his return to the side, Daily Star reports.
The 22-year-old has been in sensational form for his nation with his side through to the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time in their history.
Upon his arrival back in 2011, Campbell had work permit problems, causing the Gunners to continously send him out on loan with spells at Lorient, Real Betis, and Olympiakos.
However, he can now return to England and play under Arsene Wenger should the French manager decide to give him a larger role in their upcoming campaign.
His agency hinted at a possible switch to Italy, as a number of clubs are already lining up to take him to the Serie A.
“Are Italian teams interested? Yes,” Roger Lacey told MilanNews.
“There are several clubs who are in the top band that have made enquiries about the boy.
“We are talking about a great player here, who has captured everyone’s attention.
“Milan? There hasn’t been anything concrete from them.
“His future at Arsenal is to be assessed after the World Cup.”
