Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that retirement is on the cards for him, but he will not be rushed into making a decision over when to walk away from the North London club. The French boss has been at the Emirates Stadium helm for 19 years and is the longest serving manager in the Premier League by some distance. However, with the Gunners failing to win major silverware in recent seasons and an inconsistent start to the new campaign, question marks over the former Monaco trainer’s future continue to resurface.Arsenal face Manchester United later today, with Louis van Gaal stating that he is set to walk away from the Old Trafford club and retire in 2017.Wenger has insisted that he does not have the same certainty about leaving the sport as the Dutchman and is yet to make a decision over when he will leave the North London club.“I haven't decided yet,” The Daily Mail quote Wenger as saying.“It can be more instinctive and impulsive than that. I'm always scared that I've heard that so many times, 'Next year I will retire'.“And in fact then they continue or go somewhere else. I think one thing is for sure that, when I retire, I will really retire. Certainly he [Van Gaal] is the kind of personality who will respect that, but I will be a bit more instinctive.”Wenger is under mounting pressure due to the Gunners being beaten by the likes of Chelsea, Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos in recent weeks, with many of the Emirates Stadium faithful questioning whether the veteran is still the right man to lead the club forward.
