Norwich City striker Grant Holt is the subject of interest from Australian A-League Melbourne Heart, according to their CEO Scott Munn.

City have already signed Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky Van Wolfswinkel this summer and are expected to make another move for Celtic goal machine Gary Hooper, leaving Holt well and truly down the pecking order.

The former Shrewsbury Town forward has failed to continue his fine form from the 2011-12 season this time around and may be open to a big money move away from Carrow Road.

The 32 year old striker still has two years remaining on his current deal in Norfolk and so Melbourne will have to pay a respectable fee to tempt Norwich into negotiations.

Heart attempted to bring the Englishman to Australia in January but are set to re-enter talks this summer.

“We made an approach and we always knew that it would be made public and that with him being contracted for two more years it might be complicated,” Munn told Sky Sports.

“We haven’t closed the door on it as yet and will be pursuing it.”
