Dinamo Zagreb boss Zoran Mamic has confirmed that youngster Alen Halilovic will still move to Barcelona this summer as it was agreed before the Spaniards were dealt a transfer ban, as reported by Sky Sports.
The17 year old, who already has three caps for Croatia, agreed to join Barcelona in January and so will still be able to move to the club at the end of this season.
The Catalan club were handed a transfer ban that will prevent them from buying players during the next two transfer windows after being found guilty of indecent business in regards to youth signings.
Halilovic is thought of as one of Europe’s hottest prospects and Mamic has been reassured by Barcelona that they will get their money for their prized asset.
“I called the Barcelona board and got an assurance that the sentence does not affect the transfer of Alen Halilovic,” Mamic told Sportske novosti.
“Everything is fine, there is no need for speculation. Alen will move to Barcelona after this season, that is for sure.
“The contract is signed and you can be sure that nothing unusual will happen.”
