Besiktas believe that they have reached an agreement with Chelsea over the potential signing of Demba Ba after the English side announced the signing of Diego Costa, Metro reports.
With the arrival of their new striker, Ba will be moved further down the pecking order as Jose Mourinho may not be able give him the playing time he desires.
Fikret Orman, the president of Besiktas, has claimed that after negotiations, the two clubs have reached a mutual understanding over the price of the Blues front man.
“Demba Ba is an excellent player and we have been in talks with Chelsea for a long time over bringing him to Istanbul,” said Orman.
“Talks are ongoing, Chelsea initially wanted £10m for Ba, but we have negotiated a price we are happy with. We’ll tell the media once the final deal is done.”
A fee of around £8million is expected to have been reached as the Senegalese attacker could very well be on his to Turkey despite netting a few vital goals for the side, especially the one against French side Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League.
