Manchester United will be devastated to hear that Mats Hummels has rejected any rumours linking him with a move to Old Trafford in the summer, Metro reports.
The Borussia Dortmund man recently showcased his ability when he scored a header during Germany’s 4-0 thumping of Portugal in the World Cup group stages.
With the departures of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, Louis van Gaal is in desperate need of a centre back who can immediately fill the void left by the defensive pair.
However, German international has come out to admit his decision regarding the possible move, but hinted that he could be a United player sometime in the future.
“I never think about that or talk about it because it is something that isn’t important for me right now,’ Hummels said.
“Maybe it will be some day, but I don’t expect it to be like that this summer.”
