Brazilian defender Filipe Luis is looking to force a move to Chelsea after rejecting contract negotiations with Atletico Madrid, Express reports.
Luis is desperate to make the switch to Stamford Bridge, cutting off any contact with his current employers.
Jose Mourinho has been in search of a new left back after the release of Ashley Cole and Luis is his number one replacement.
The 28-year-old is reportedly unhappy with his weekly salary and is keen to join Jose Mourinho in order to improve his chances of playing for Brazil in the future.
Luis fell short of making it into Brazil’s final 23-man World Cup squad, only earning a spot on the provisional list.
Atletico have agreed to allow the defender to depart the club, but only if the Blues can cough up £19million.
It seems however that a deal is likely to be complete, as the La Liga champions have already signed Luis’ replacement in Guilherme Siquera from Benfica.
Luis is only one of three Atletico players Chelsea are looking to bring over to the Premier League, with offers for striker Diego Costa and midfielder Tiago already on the table.
