The Hammers have already put three past Spurs this season at White Hart Lane and so Spurs fans will be hoping they can gain revenge on their London rivals this evening in the Capital One Cup.

Caretaker boss Tim Sherwood will have to think carefully about his team selection tonight, bearing in mind Erik Lamela and other big money signings that haven’t seen enough minutes so far this season. With Michael Dawson and Paulinho both suspended, Spurs fans will be delighted with the news that Vlad Chiriches, Christian Eriksen and Younes Kaboul could all return to the squad tonight, making Tim Sherwood’s job a whole lot easier.

West Ham have a huge list of absentees to worry about, with skipper Kevin Nolan still suspended, and strike partners Andy Carroll and Ricardo Vaz Te both out with injuries. The lack of strike force for the Irons this season has been worrying for both the fans and their manager, having only managed to score nine goals in the league – three of these goals came at White Hart Lane back in October.

The team sheets are in as these two London sides go head to head in tonight’s Capital One Cup Round 5 this evening;
