Cardiff City have edged closer to completing the signing of Wilfried Zaha on loan from Manchester United, after the winger was pictured arriving at hospital for a medical, according to the Daily Mail.

Sources close to the deal reckon it could be completed as early as this afternoon with David Moyes keen to ship the England under-21 star out after growing frustrated with his behaviour.

Moyes was initially reluctant to let Zaha leave following injuries to Ashley Young and Nani, but Young’s return to fitness and Moyes’s continued issues with Zaha have sped up the process.

Moyes was furious that Zaha turned up 45 minutes late for a Monday night fixture with the Under 21’s, as well as his attitude to being left out of the squad for Sunday’s defeat to Chelsea.

Cardiff are set to rescue Zaha from his Old Trafford nightmare, with former United striker and new Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperate to add him to his relegation threatened side.

The £15million winger has managed just two Premier League appearances as a substitute under Moyes this season.
