Cardiff striker Peter Odemwingie is set to join Stoke City this month, with fellow striker Kenwyne Jones going the other way to South Wales.

Stoke confirmed the deal on their official Twitter account and both players are set to undergo medicals today in order to get the deal done before the pair play in midweek Premier League games.

Odemwingie is set to be in the stands as the Potters take on Chelsea this afternoon in the FA Cup fourth round and Jones will not be involved.

Cardiff made a real effort to grab Odemwingie in the summer after his calamitous attempts to move to QPR on transfer deadline day last January.

New Bluebirds boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set on revamping his squad this month in order to get them out of the relegation battle they are in.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes has not used Jones often this season and his attempts to alter their style of play continue.
