Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has blasted the officials regarding Cesc Fabregas’ red card during their 3-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion on Monday, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

Fabregas was sent off in one of the most bizarre incidents this season, as the Spain midfielder seemed to kick the ball at Chris Brunt when referee Mike Jones was stalling play to give Diego Costa a yellow card.

And after Mourinho found out that Fabregas will be banned for three games, ‘the Special One’ was left bewildered.

“Three game ban for this? Jesus Christ!,” said Mourinho, before hinting that he would not appeal the decision.

“Harsh? Of course it's harsh, if you get three games with this.

“Because we lose all the time, we have a fantastic record on appealing.

“Where is the danger of the situation? Where is the aggression in the situation to get a red card in a friendly game almost? I don't understand.

“For me a top referee, a big personality in control of the game goes there has two or three words and it is done. It was nothing special. One of the top referees would resolved the problem with words.

“Jones gave the red card which I disagree completely with, but he is the referee.”

English striker Saido Berahino put the Baggies into an early lead, and Fabregas’ dismissal opened up the game for the hosts.

Berahino got his second from the spot after John Terry fouled him in the box, before Brunt wrapped up the victory with a clean strike.

But despite the win, West Brom manager Tony Pulis congratulated the Blues, hailing them the best team in the country, while praising them on winning the league.

“The team that we've played have been, by far, the best team in England in the Barclays Premier League this year. They've won it by a country mile and they've been that better than anybody else,” Pulis said.

“So although we've won the game tonight, all the praise, everything else, should go to Jose, his coaching staff, Chelsea and the players.”
