Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has targeted Paris Saint-Germain ace Javier Pastore, with the signing of Paul Pogba from Juventus looking ever more unlikely, Express reports.
Juventus have set an extremely high £60million price tag on Pogba, warding off interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.
Therefore the Blues have turned their attentions to more achievable prospects, with £25million rated Paris Saint-Germain star Javier Pastore high on their transfer wishlist.
However despite Juve’s stance on Pogba, the 21-year-old was pictured in London, fuelling speculation that he could be in the city to talk in order to discuss a potential switch.
But ‘super-agent’ Mino Raiola told Italian media Tuttosport that the Blues have not contacted his client over a transfer.
“Paul to Chelsea? It’s just fantasy football,” Riola said. “Everything is perfect at Juventus and no meetings are planned.”
The French midfielder was one of the stars for his country during the World Cup, scoring one goal and supplying another assist.
Mourinho could however hit an early stumbling block in attempting to sign Pastore, as his agent Marcelo Simonian stated: “There is no possibility that Pastore will return to Italy next season.
“Pastore will remain 100 per cent at Paris St Germain.”
