Chelsea’s top transfer target Diego Costa has made it known that he is happy at his current club and stated his confusion on why the Blues supporters were chanting his name, according to TalkSPORT.
The Spanish star is currently one of the most lethal strikers in the world with the English side looking to line up a £32m offer to acquire his services.
In Costa’s previous Champions League encounter against Jose Mourinho’s side, he heard positive reactions from his opponent’s supporters but continues to state his happiness with the current role he plays at Atletico Madrid.
He said “The truth is that I didn’t understand anything. I heard my name and asked what they were saying.
“I can’t say I paid much attention to it. I’m very happy where I am now.”
With a 0-0 score line in Madrid, the 25-year-old is ready to take the game to Stamford Bridge insisting nobody is in control of the tie.
Costa added: “I’m not nervous. It’s a great game to be involved in and we’re going to have fun playing.
“It will be different from the game at home. They will have to come out and attack more.”
