Monaco forward Radamel Falcao insists he is happy in the south of France and is not looking to leave the club, as reported by Sky Sports.

Rumours have been building that the former Atletico Madrid forward has not enjoyed life in Ligue 1 and has fallen out with boss Claudio Ranieri.

But the £50million summer signing has rubbished those reports and claims he has not been playing recently due to a thigh injury.

Chelsea are still expected to make a bid for the Colombian international and with Monaco struggling for form, Falcao may well push through a deal if the Blues make their interest known.

“I am very happy at Monaco and my wife is happy to live here,” Falcao told a supporters group at an event yesterday.

“There is no problem with the coach, the doctors or the team.

“I just have a small problem with my thigh. I will play again soon when I feel better.”

Falcao is expected to be back before Christmas and aid Monaco’s push up the table towards leaders PSG.
