Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa will not be leaving the Spanish capital this January, as reported by ITV Sport.

The clubs director of football Jose Luis Caminero has reiterated his confidence that his main man will not be sold in the winter transfer window.

Brazilian-born Costa, who is now eligible to play for Spain, has notched a whopping 19 goals already this season in La Liga and is a vital reason that Atletico are currently battling leaders Barcelona in the league and into the knock out stages of the Champions League.

Chelsea are at the front of the queue to snap up Costa who has a transfer release fee of just over £30million in his current deal.

After losing main man Radamel Falcao in the summer, Caminero is desperate to keep his new prized possession and he believes that Costa is fully committed to the club.

“Right now Costa does not think of leaving, he is contracted to Atletico,” Caminero told Marca.

“He has renewed with us which is important. He has shown that he wants to continue at this club.”

it seems that diego costa like atletico than other club, because he just started as the top striker in atletico who replace there former striker radamel falcao, so i think this his time to be among the best player in the word and to shine.
