Chelsea have accepted a loan offer from Atletico Madrid for Romelu Lukaku, with the move to sign Diego Costa looking to be finalized, Express reports.
The Belgian international recently expressed his desire to leave Stamford Bridge after only returning from Everton on a season-long loan.
With Costa very likely to become part of the squad next season, Lukaku fears his part in the team could be very limited and was linked with moves back to the Toffees as well as Tottenham Hotspur.
Jose Mourinho still has plans for his striker, not willing to let him sign for another club unless on loan, with an agreement to return to the side in the 2015-2016 campaign where he can earn his place in the starting line up.
Even with Demba Ba and Fernando Torres already part of his strike force, Mourinho will be looking for another forward up top to play alongside the incoming Costa.
The Special One is believed to be preparing a £20 million offer to bring Bayern Munich’s Mario Manzukic to England, despite heavy interest from their rivals Arsenal and Manchester United.
