Samuel Eto’o has been frustrated at Jose Mourinho ever since the Chelsea boss made negative comments about his age and is looking to exact revenge by making a move to Arsenal, Mirror reports.

The Cameroon striker would love a chance to prove his manager wrong and believes that by moving to another top side, he can accomplish just that.

His representatives have made it clear to Arsene Wenger that Eto’o has put his move to the Emirates as his number one priority and could possibly be available on a free transfer.

The Gunners have already stated their intentions of wanting to add attacking reinforcements after seeing Olivier Giroud playing as the club’s only main forward for quite some time.

A move for Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata is already in play, but Wenger could cancel the transfer due to the Spanish side’s decision to impose a buyback clause on the deal.

With Eto’o being available for almost nothing, Arsenal could take up the offer as his intentions to prove his worth to Mourinho can play a big part in his performance next season.

    Never. Eto’o would be on £200k+ p.w.
Arsenal would not pay that for anyone, never mind someone over 30.
