Chelsea have told Petr Cech to find himself a new club before the transfer window closes, with Thibaut Courtois set to be their new No. 1, according to reports from Goal.

The Veteran stopper has been a mainstay in the Blues’ XI for much of the last 10 years, but his role is now likely to be a backup one.

Courtois has returned from a three-season stint at Atletico Madrid on the proviso that he will get plenty of game time, and it’s understood that Jose Mourinho is keen to honour that promise to keep the Belgian.

Although Cech would be one of the best No. 2 options around, the Londoners are looking to offload him now while his value is still relatively high.

Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco are rumoured to be interested in the experienced Czech Republic international, while there have been links with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The 32-year-old himself is rumoured to be happy to stay put, but if his opportunities are limited a fresh challenge may be appealing.

Cech has made 479 appearances for Chelsea since his 2004 arrival.
