Chelsea midfielder Ramires will now miss the rest of this season after being charged with violent conduct, picking up a four game ban in all domestic competitions, according to TalkSPORT.

The 27-year-old was handed a three game ban for striking Sunderland’s Sebastian Larsson in the face despite referee Mike Dean missing the incident as well as another one match ban for his red card during a meeting with Aston Villa.

The Brazilian will now miss the final three games of the Premier League as well as another domestic match at the beginning of next season.

However, with news of Ramires being rested against Liverpool and Jose Mourinho’s focus on the Champions League, the four game domestic ban may not be such a huge loss for the Blues as the season draws to a close.
