Burnley manager was full of praise for his players after the Clarets drew 1-1 with Aston Villa at Turf Moor.

Coyle's side came within four minutes of another fine victory on home soil, but were denied when headed home for the visitors.

Afterwards, Coyle told the club's official website:"I thought we were truly outstanding in the first half. We passed and move the ball and created numerous opportunities and scored a good goal.

"I felt we were very much in control of the game, but you can feel that in a Premier League game and quickly things can change.

"We have paid the price for not clearing a corner properly and not dealing with it when it came back in.

"But I can't ask any more of my players. They have worked their socks off and, within that, shown real quality.

"Three points would have been great, but as it is we take the one and look to move on and this might turn out to be a very important point."
