Antonio Conte is staggering considering his position at Chelsea already and Italian giants Inter Milan have already made contact, Italian outlet La Repubblica reports (via EuroSport).

What's the word?

Sitting comfortably clear at the top of the Premier League table with just 11 games to go and preparing for a quarter-final in the FA Cup, you'd expect Antonio Conte to be happy with his position at Chelsea. However, that's reportedly not the case.

Remarkably, Conte is reported to be considering his future at the club after falling out with chairman Roman Abramovich, which wouldn't be anything new by the Russian's track record, due to a summer transfer budget not being set and having additions to his coaching staff restricted.

Conte wants six more assistants to his coaching staff but Abramovich has only allowed him to hire three. However, the most crucial aspect to the rumour could be the reports that Conte is unsettled in London- with his family still living in Italy.

Could he leave?

Giving the details of the reports, it certainly suggests there is some substance to the rumours and disagreements with Abramovich have proven to be the kiss of death at Stamford Bridge for many of the Italian's predecessors.

Inter Milan, led by Chinese group Suning following their takeover last summer, have reportedly already made contact- but they'd have to pay around £30m to Chelsea in a termination fee, as Conte's contract at Stamford Bridge runs to 2019.

The Italian club are currently led by Stefano Pioli but his position will be under threat if he fails to qualify for the Champions League. Currently, the San Siro outfit sit sixth in Serie A, six points behind third-placed Napoli.
