Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has warned Arsenal they risk losing one of the 'best managers in the world' if they push Arsene Wenger out of the door, The Independent  quotes him as saying.

What's the word?

After another failure to push for Premier League glory and a 5-1 drubbing to Bayern Munich leaving Arsene Wenger under intense pressure, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has warned the Gunners to be careful what they wish for.

Speculation on Wenger's future is now surrounding the gossip pages of major publications worldwide and a growing majority of supporters believe the French boss should leave this summer when his current contract draws to a close.

Wenger is yet to reveal whether he will leave the club or sign a contract extension, with a decision not likely until March or April, but Antonio Conte has leapt to the support of his rival with his latest comments.

What was said?

Speaking ahead of Chelsea's FA Cup clash with Wolves, Conte said:

"I have great respect for Arsene Wenger as a manager and a man. He has done and is doing a good job with Arsenal over [the past] 20 years."

"When you are the coach of a great team, you are under pressure at all times. Arsene Wenger is a great manager, one of the best in the world. Arsenal are very strong ... it's important to not forget the work the players and coach has done in the past."

Is he right?

Yes and no. Conte is right in pointing out that Arsene Wenger deserves a lot more praise and recognition than he is currently being given, due to the success he has enjoyed in the past, but arguing that Arsenal are currently 'very strong' is far from the truth.

Sure, the Gunners have consistency when qualifying for the Champions League but Wenger's side have failed to compete in Europe, or even domestically, during the last decade and only have two FA Cup crowns to their name since 2005.

Since Arsenal last won the Premier League in 2004, Chelsea, Manchester City and Leicester City have all gone on to lift their first-ever crowns in the competition and Arsenal have struggled to compete- even last season when they finished second.
