Crystal Palace midfield man Yannick Bolasie has been mightily impressed with boss Tony Pulis as he has guided the Eagles to safety, as reported by the Evening Stadard.

The Eagles were written off mid-way through the season but since Pulis has taken over from Ian Holloway the South London side have been one of the in-form teams in the Premier League.

A top half finish is not beyond the Eagles now and manager of the month Pulis has been getting all of the credit.

Bolasie is a man who deserves a pat on the back for his performances too, but the Congo international has plenty of praise for his manager.

“Everyone just went ‘wow’ (when Pulis came in for the first time),” Bolasie said.

“It was no long speeches, it was short and sweet. We knew he was serious.

“He told us he had never been relegated, he stated that fact on his first day. He gave us belief and soul.”

“He has to be up there for Manager of the Year. Every pundit had written us off, said we’d be relegated by Christmas. Secretly we all thought it would be a long season, especially the way the results were going. The gaffer has changed a lot and we are playing unbelievably.”
