Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has hailed possible new signing Victor Moses as the future of Chelsea Football Club and is excited to get him involved.

Wigan Athletic accepted a fifth bid from Chelsea of around £9million for the winger this week and the former Crystal Palace youth product is set to join the club over the weekend.

Moses featured and impressed as Chelsea beat Wigan last week and it seems Di Matter is delighted with his new signing.

He told talkSPORT: "The clubs have agreed terms now and the player will have a medical. Subject to that he might become a Chelsea player.”

"Hopefully we can progress his development. I think it’s a great option to have in our team. He’s a young player and hopefully he will be the future of the club."

Moses definitely won’t feature as Chelsea take on Newcastle today,  in the evening kick off.
