England star Adam Lallana is set to complete his £25million move to Liverpool today after passing his medical, Express reports.
After months of speculation, the transfer saga of Southampton’s Lallana to Liverpool is ready to be completed after the two sides agreed on a fee Friday and the 26-year-old passing his weekend medical.
Reports claim that the Reds are paying £25million plus add-ones for Lallana’s services, with the midfielder agreeing to a four-year contract.
This will be Liverpool’s second signing from Southampton after Rickie Lambert’s £4million move from St. Mary’s prior to the World Cup.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has also purchased Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Emre Can for £10million, making it an extremely busy summer for Liverpool.
Rodgers is however set to lose star striker Luis Suarez to Barcelona after the Uruguayan’s ‘biting incident’ with Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini.
It is therefore likely that Liverpool will continue their activity in the transfer market as they look for a suitable replacement to the PFA Player of the Year.
