Manchester United starlet Wilfried Zaha has blasted former manager David Moyes for not giving him the chance to impress at Old Trafford, Express reports.
The young Englishman didn’t start a single Premier League game for the Red Devils before being sent out on loan to Cardiff last season.
And Zaha has spoken out over his dreadful campaign, stating: “If you are not the manager’s cup of tea you can’t do anything about it.
“It was definitely not my attitude. I always gave 100 per cent but the manager had his way of playing and maybe I just didn’t suit it.”
He went on to reveal that if Moyes was able to get better results for the club, he could have been given more opportunities to showcase his talents.
“There was so much pressure on him so I can’t really blame him,” Zaha said. “I could have got a better chance but coming to United brings a load of pressure.
“I don’t know what other people say but I know I just need to keep it simple. I have tried to over-elaborate in the past and if I lose the ball then that doesn’t help anyone. It’s something I am working hard on.”
The 21-year-old is hoping that new manager Louis van Gaal will see his potential and give him the time he deserves on the pitch.
