Manchester United look to have been dealt a transfer blow after PSV accepted a £10million plus £5million rated Nacer Chadli bid from Tottenham Hotspur in exchange for Memphis Depay, Express reports.
The 20-year-old was previously linked with the Red Devils but when the offer being accepted, Mauricio Pochettino is now favourites to acquire the services of the Dutch World Cup star.
He believes his acquisition can see him mature into a very effective offensive outlet for the side as he prepares for his first season in charge at White Hart Lane ever since his move from Southampton.
With Louis van Gaal said to be a huge admirer of the winger, a switch looked likely, however it is said that United wanted him to remain in the Eredivisie for another year before opting to sign him.
Depay netted 13 goals in the previous season for his club and even added two more to his tally for the Netherlands national squad during the World Cup in Brazil.
