Everton are looking to beat Manchester United and Arsenal with a £10million bid for Alessio Cerci, Express reports.
The Toffees have been attempting to keep Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku after his successful loan spell last season, but have now turned to Cerci with a Lukaku deal unlikely.
Reports from Italy claim Everton have tabled a £10million offer in the hopes that Torino will let go of their star man.
Although Cerci is more of a winger than a striker, the Italian scored 13 goals – and assisted 12 – to earn him a call-up to Cesare Prandelli’s World Cup squad.
His performances have alerted a host of top English clubs, amongst them Manchester United and Arsenal.
However Everton looks like they could beat their Premier League rivals to their target as they push for UEFA Champions League football next season.
Torino director Gianluca Petrachi has already revealed they would allow Cerci to leave if desired.
He said: “We want to keep Alessio because we don’t need to sell at this moment in time.
“That was also the case for Immobile, but the will of the player is important.”
