Everton manager Roberto Martinez believes that Manchester United will be up challenging for the title next season, as reported by talkSPORT.

United have struggled under David Moyes this season, and the former Everton boss returns to Goodison Park today for the first time since he left in the summer.

Both teams have now found form and have plenty to play for, increasing the atmosphere on Merseyside.

Martinez has no doubt that United’s slow season is just a blip and that they will come good next season when Moyes has really stamped his mark on the squad.

“Manchester United will finish the season strongly, I’ve got no doubts about that,” Martinez said.

“Their next few games, I’m sure they’re going to fight for a European place and to finish as high as they can.

“Even at this stage, they should be fighting for fourth place. It’s ingrained in the DNA of Manchester United. It’s not in doubt that they will be doing that and they will be challenging for the title next season.”
