Sparta Prague midfielder Josef Husbauer would be interested in a move to Everton this summer if a bid came in, as reported by Sky Sports.

The 23 year old has impressed in recent seasons and a number of big clubs have been linked with him, including Borussia Dortmund and Anderlecht.

Husbauer can play either on the wing or centrally and has been likened to former Everton her Mikel Arteta as the Toffees search for another January bargain.

The Czech Republic international’s agent has confirmed that it would be tough to turn down a move to the Premier League, although Everton are not alone in their pursuit of his client.

“It would flatter us if Everton were interested,” Husbauer’s agent Ondrej Chovanec said.

“At the moment, I don’t want to support any speculation because the transfer window is not open yet.

“The truth is, however, that big clubs are interested in Josef. There is also interest in Germany and Belgium.”

“Anyway, Sparta will have the first and final word in this. I need to discuss the situation with them before I can be specific.”
