Former Tottenham Hotspur winger Darren Anderton expects the club to break into the top four this season thanks to a very strong squad, as reported by Sky Sports.

Spurs moved level on points with fourth place Liverpool at the weekend with an impressive victory at Swansea and under Tim Sherwood they look a different beat to that of when Andre Villas Boas was in charge.

The introduction of Nabil Bentelab and resurgence of Emmanuel Adebayor by Sherwood has paid dividends and Anderton believes he can continue to impress.

Anderton thinks the new found buzz around the club will push them above Liverpool into the Champions League spots and they can stay there.

“When it comes down to it, it’s all about the squad – and Spurs have got a very strong squad with lots of talent and lots of quality players,” Anderton said.

“There’s a new buzz about the place, there’s lot of positivity – and they’re playing good football.

“Of course Emmanuel Adebayor has come back in – that was a masterstroke by Tim (Sherwood) to get him back on board and playing well. At the moment they look like a very good team.”
