QPR midfielder Alejandro Faurlin believes that his team-mate Adel Taarabt will stay at the club.

The Moroccan’s recent strong performances have led to speculation that he may swap Loftus Road for the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal said to be highly interested.

Despite the obvious temptations of playing for the Gunners, Faurlin thinks that his team-mate would reject their advances to stay with QPR:

"Adel is a very important player for us," He told the Fulham Chronicle.

"It would be a huge blow for us if he leaves, but I don't think he will.

"Everybody needs to be pulling in the same direction, and if that happens everything else will be taken care of.

“Adel loves it at QPR."

The attacking midfielder is widely thought of as one of the main stars in Mark Hughes’ squad, but has endured a fairly underwhelming spell in the Premier League.

He was key during the club’s promotion winning campaign, turning in multiple high-level performances across the year.

However, he has struggled to maintain his form in the top-tier and at times has shown his frustration.

During their visit to Fulham last season the playmaker left the dressing room at half-time and was spotted by fans journeying to his home.

However his performances have improved of late, attracting interest from some of the Premier League’s big teams.
