Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert believes that Louis van Gaal would be the perfect replacement for David Moyes at Manchester United, as reported by talkSPORT.

The current Holland manager is odds on favourite to become the United boss in the summer despite Ryan Giggs enjoying an impressive start to life at the helm yesterday.

Van Gaal has been successful at Bayern Munich and Barcelona, although he hasn’t coached a club side for over two years.

Kluivert has worked under Van Gall and believes he would be perfect for any top club, even Manchester United.

“He would be absolutely the first pick of any club, especially top teams everywhere in the world,” Kluivert said.

“He likes to let young players make their debut if ready for it. The most important thing at the moment is I’m personally enjoying working with him and with the Dutch national team. We’re going to the World Cup and hope to do well.

“After that we’ll see what happens and with me as well.”
