As reported in an exclusive by The Sun, Adam Lallana is set to sign a new bumper contract to Liverpool in a deal that commits him to the club for the next four years.

What's the story?

Despite having two years left on his current deal at Anfield, it appears the Reds hierarchy is keen to secure one of their in-form players this season to a longer contract.

The Sun reckon Lallana is on the verge of signing a new four year deal with the club that will see him earn a huge £150,000 per week. That means the total package on the table for the midfielder is an eye-watering £31.2m in total, which puts him on a par with the biggest earners at Liverpool.

Worth it?

The England international has been in blistering form for Jurgen Klopp this season and it's clear to see why the club are so keen on securing his services for another four years.

The 28 year old has directly contributed to fourteen goals in total this campaign with seven assists and seven of his own across the piece.

That's worth lots of money in the Premier League and dealing him in to a new bumper deal should be a positive for the Anfield club in the years to come.
