Manchester United manager Ryan Giggs has admitted that he is likely to leave Old Trafford this summer, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

Giggs is in temporary charge of the Red Devils after David Moyes was sacked last month, but Louis van Gaal is expected to take charge full time after the World Cup this summer.

It appears that Giggs is set to hang up his boots this summer as he wants to get into management, but that won’t be at Old Trafford.

Giggs has confirmed that he could leave Old Trafford after spending his whole career there, but he won’t be part of van Gaal’s coaching staff.

“I can only play for United. It’s black and white, and it’s not about money,” Giggs said.

“I’ve been extremely lucky in that I have only ever worked at United, but I am still a young man in relative terms in management.

“I could have another 20 to 25 years in the game – and it might not all be spent at United.

“If I went elsewhere it would be strange, but I can see myself doing that.

“The association I have with United will always be special – if I have to do it I’ll do it, but how it will feel I don’t know.”
