Despite AC Milan denying any talks from Liverpool over a move for Mario Balotelli, the Italian striker’s agent Mino Raiola has flown to London to discuss a possible transfer, Goal.com reports.
The Reds are extremely keen to sign a centre-forward to replace Luis Suarez, who departed to Barcelona earlier in the summer.
And Mario Balotelli has now emerged as their top target, with Liverpool also reportedly in talks with Monaco to bring Radamel Falcao on a season-long loan.
Liverpool are also looking to bring Balotelli on loan, but Milan are adamant they will only allow ‘Super Mario’ to leave on a permanent basis.
Therefore Mino Raiola, whose client list also includes Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is in England hoping to negotiate a deal to be agreed by both sides.
Although AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani is keen to keep Balotelli at the San Siro, owner Silvio Berlusconi is hoping the former Inter Milan man departs the club before the season kicks off.
It would be a major coup for Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers, as Balotelli is a proven Premier League goal-scorer with Manchester City and at only 23 years of age still has time to develop into a world beater.
