Arsenal were currently in the driving seat to sign Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona but may have been dealt a huge blow after rumours suggest he could return to the Serie A, Express reports.
Juventus’ interest in the Chilean star looks to have pulled the attention away from his potential switch to the Gunners after he refused to be part of the Luis Suarez swap deal with Liverpool.
Sanchez is believed to have favoured the offer from the Italian side over that of Arsene Wenger with his time with Udinese meaning he would be more familair to the Italian league.
Before his move to the Catalan club, he spent three years in Italy meaning he could select a safer option rather than playing in a brand new environment such a the English Premier League.
The 25-year-old attacker has been one of the stand out performers for Chile in Brazil and has been grabbing the headlines as a majority of clubs chase for his services.
