Juventus are the frontrunners to sign Arsenal forward Robin van Persie, as the Dutch striker looks set to turn his back on the Premier League according to Mirror Football.

The Gunners captain and 2011-12 PFA Player of the Year has made his intention of leaving the north London club clear and will not sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

With less than a year left on his existing deal at the Premier League side, Arsenal could well be tempted to sell their talisman this summer, which would also mean avoiding him moving to a domestic rival on a free transfer next summer.

With Manchester City and Manchester United thought to be interested, Juventus would appear a more preferable destination in Arsene Wenger’s eyes, and a move to Turin could be on the cards.

The Serie A champions are looking to bolster their squad this summer after qualifying for the Champions League once more, and have made their intention to sign a top-drawer forward known.

Although the Bianconeri are courting Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, they have consistently been linked with a move for Van Persie in the Italian press.

Antonio Conte’s men are believed to be ready to offer Van Persie £180,000-a-week, which could convince him that his future is in Italy.

Selling him to Juventus is a good option rather than Man city. Even if man city offers higher money, dont sell him to them. Manchini should groom one player for all to see rather than poach because he has a bottomless pocket.

Who cares where he goes. Close that page and move on. Let’s hope the club gets an adequate replacement. That’s what concerns me. Thanks RVP and good bye. (don’t want him to go but don’t blame him)

Very compelling what the Uzman had to say. Ties in with my reflections of what’s been happening at AFC over the past few years. Let’s hope this forces a change of ethos at the club. Doubt it tho. F’ing greedy selfish boardmembers. Shame supporters can’t get together and totally boycott a big game (or pack out the streets outside the stadium) That would get our voices heard.

Gunner since 1971 and a gooner for life!
