Younes Kaboul has promised Tottenham fans he won’t be joining Arsenal on a free transfer this summer, reports the Metro.

The centre half if out of contract at White Hart Lane in the summer, and reportedly told friends he was willing to risk the wrath of the Tottenham fans by making the move across north London, in the same way Sol Campbell did in 2001.

However Kaboul has moved to assure fans he won’t be following in the same footsteps of the former England defender, who was forever labelled Judas by the Spurs supporters.

The 28-year-old posted on Twitter: “I can confirm 100% that the rumour about me joining Arsenal is not true!!! #coys”

The French international is in his second spell as a Tottenham player, having rejoined the club from Portsmouth for £6.5million in 2010.

His most famous moment in a Tottenham shirt came in 2010-11 against Arsenal, when he fired the winner to completed a comeback from 2-0 down as Spurs ran out 3-2 winners at the Emirates.
