Liverpool’s offer for Alberto Moreno has been accepted by Sevilla and will be making his way to England to complete his medical next week, Mirror reports.
The Merseyside club agreed a five-year deal with the Spanish left-back and since Moreno is not part of the World Cup squad, the transfer can be completed once he passes his medical.
Sevilla placed a £17.9 million price tag on their star defender and reports suggest that Brendan Rodgers’ side are prepared to meet their demands, with negotiations being finalized.
Tottenham Hotspur were also monitoring the player, but it looks quite clear that the Reds are in pole position to sign him from Spain.
The initial offer by Rodgers’ side involved a swap deal involving Suso, but the Spanish club rejected the deal and requested the full value for the 21-year-old.
With the deal for Emre Can also looking set, the English club have had a busy week in the transfer market, also only confirming Rickie Lambert’s move from Southampton on Monday.
