Leicester City have completed a stunning swoop for former Inter Milan star Esteban Cambiasso on a one-year contract, Skysports reports.
The Argentine midfielder became a free agent after leaving the Serie A side and is now set for his club debut when Leicester face Arsenal on Sunday.
At 34, Cambiasso will add a lot of experience to Nigel Pearson’s newly promoted side after spending a decade with Inter as well as picking up a Champions League trophy along the way.
He has also made over 50 international appearances for the Argentine national team and was part of the Real Madrid squad which featured the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, and David Beckham.
Wearing the number 19 shirt with the Foxes, he will now get the opportunity to play in the English Premier League for the first time in his successful career as he will be seen as a key figure in a squad fighting to avoid relegation.
