Manchester United’s deadline day signing Radamel Falcao had turned down offers from Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City as well as Juventus before finalizing his move to Old Trafford, Metro reports.
According to his father, a host of top English Premier League clubs have also tabled a bid to sign the 28-year-old Colombian striker, but it was the thought of playing for United which finally led to the decision.
“Manchester United is the most important team in England and one of the most powerful financially,” he said.
“Now he [Falcao] must perform at his best to continue winning.
“Fortunately he has adapted to European football and in the teams where he has been in Argentina it was easily done too.
“Juventus, Manchester City, Liverpool also approached him and Arsenal at the last minute.
“Fortunately, he ended up at Manchester United, a great team that he has to lead forward.”
