Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is still happy to play down the Reds’ chances of Premier League glory this season, as reported by talkSPORT.

Luis Suarez inspired Liverpool to an emphatic 3-0 victory away at Southampton last night and that win moved the Merseyside club into second spot behind Chelsea.

Arsenal’s defeat at Stoke and Manchester City’s involvement in the Capital One Cup provided a good weekend for the Reds who are finding some imperious form.

With no European football to worry about this season, Rodgers has seen his team improve over the past 18 months although he is leaving the title dreaming to the supporters.

“It’s not something I can start to think about really,” Rodgers said.

“It’s brilliant for the supporters to dream, I think they’ve seen the team improve consistently over the last 18 months.

“But for me it’s just wining the next game, we’ll prepare and analyse for our next opponent now, we’ll get ready for that.”
