Liverpool have completed the £10million move for Belgium striker Divock Origi from Lille, BBC reports.
The 19-year-old has penned a five-year contract with the Reds, but will be sent back on loan to the Ligue-1 side until the summer of 2015.
Origi was the breakout star for Belgium in the World Cup, playing four out of their five fixtures in their run to the quarter-finals.
And the starlet is extremely pleased to be making a move to the Premier League.
“I am very happy and delighted a club as big as Liverpool showed interest in me,” he said. “I’m very excited.”
“I know it’s a club with a great history, great fans and a lot of great players, ” he added.
“For me, Liverpool is one of the greatest clubs in the world and I’m very excited to be part of this great history.”
Origi will be Liverpool’s sixth signing this summer after the captures of Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Lazar Markovic, and Emre Can.
