Liverpool have sealed the double capture of Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy and Atletico Madrid defender Javier Manquillo, Mirror reports.
The Reds further added to their summer transfers and it is expected to continue their shopping spree with possibly three additional signings.
French forward Loic Remy passed his medical last night before agreeing to a four-year £80,000-a-week contract.
Liverpool matched the QPR player’s £8.5million clause to bring him to Anfield, a price considered a bargain by the Merseysiders.
And Atletico Madrid right-back Manquillo is set to join the former Newcastle man, agreeing a two-year loan deal with a £5million option to make the move permanent.
Although the 20-year-old only started six games for the La Liga champions last term, Manquillo has been earmarked to be a regular for Spain in the future.
Remy and Manquillo will make Liverpool’s summer expenditure go past £70million, after the initial captures of Southampton duo Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert, Lazar Markovic, and Emre Can.
Now it is believed manager Brendan Rodgers is targeting Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno and Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal to complete his raid into the transfer market.
